Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Test – JEMINI Integration SME (24-379) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The position is in a fast-paced, dynamic environment near Colorado Springs at Schriever Space Force Base. Integrate JEMINI Lab test suites in our development lab. Assist software development personnel with investigating and resolving issues. Develop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems. Create and modify scripts to perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data; troubleshoot both test and prototype issues; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, network documents as necessary; and represent the Integration team; automated scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts.
Essential Functions:
- Experience as a SW Tester/Integrator.
- Hands-on experience with DoD integration processes.
- Agile and DevOps methodologies and automated test tools.
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
- An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 6 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- Proficient in Linux scripting (bash, python).
- Understanding of automation and implementation.
- Proficient in troubleshooting methods.
- Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing.
- Experience in the integration of system components within a test environment.
- Familiarity with virtualized systems and security design and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current and active Top Secret clearance is highly desired.
- Experience developing scripts in Ansible.
- Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments
- Experience with Windows Server and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases.
- Experience in Agile work environments and familiarity with the Product Owner Role
