The Systems Engineering team at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (AS) is looking for an individual to join our team as a Systems Architecture Lead (MBSE) in Melbourne, FL. In this lead role, you will exercise MBSE techniques and best practices while creating and updating models of ground-based radar systems; develop and maintain system models using UAFP, SysML, DoDAF and UML with MBSE tools such as Cameo; support requirements development and systems engineering efforts; and engage with Agile teams, as well as other functional areas.
 
We are looking for innovative thinkers who are interested in supporting the application of commercial technologies to operational military use cases.  These technologies include 5G communications , machine learning, and future wireless technologies in support of advanced battle management capabilities.  The qualified candidate must be able to thrive in fast-paced environments. The minimum expected skills include being comfortable multi-tasking and reprioritizing daily, drafting whitepapers and proposals, building and giving PowerPoint presentations, and self-learning without minimal direction.  Desired experience in creating Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and/or executing program budgets.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 14 years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in STEM with 12 years of experience
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Systems Engineering
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 5G architectures and systems
  • Experience developing system descriptive models using UAFP, DoDAF, UML, or SysML
  • Experience with Agile workflows
  • Experience with DOORS for requirements development and traceability
  • Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture modeling for system design
  • Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to learn new tools and processes quickly

Salary Range: $139,000 USD - $208,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
