The E-XX (TACAMO Recap) Campaign is seeking a high performing, self-directed MBSE Architect, skilled in the development of integrated architectures in accordance with UAF, UPDM, SysML, and/or UML.  The Navy Customer is driving to recapitalize this vital airborne asset and has directed the creation / management of an E-XX Digital Twin captured in Cameo EA.  Leveraging NGAS and Corporate Digital Thread capabilities, the E-XX Campaign will develop / operate an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the customer, prime, and supplier community to support engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment across the E-XX lifecycle.  The selected E-XX MBSE Architect will support the architecture build and cross-discipline integration in the context of the emerging E-XX Digital Thread.

This position will support the maturation of thread capabilities for a manned aircraft mission. The Sr. Principal Systems Engineer will work as a Thread Architect to mature the capabilities through functional analysis and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes to deliver just-in-time design and optimize the development schedule for incremental capability development and early integration.  This individual will collaborate with several stakeholders (subsystem developers, system integrators, system testers, system requirements engineers) to support delivery of quality design products, lead Thread Capability detailed planning (and define acceptance criteria), and manage tracking of the development schedule. 

This individual will also support development of thread integration plans and procedures and maintain technical cognizance of subsystem interdependencies and maturity of ICDs for identifying and resolving gaps. This individual will incorporate cross-IPT feedback to support the development and Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) approval of the following products:

•Models of interface input/output, including messages, fields and signals, between subsystems to provide specification of end-to-end system capabilities for developers

•Integration procedures

•Development schedules

•Models of software-to-hardware deployment and interface protocols

•Mapping between requirements and design

Qualifications:
 
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 9 years of systems or software engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in STEM and 7 years of experience OR Doctoral Degree in STEM and 5 years of experience

•Experience in Systems Engineering, particularly in aerospace systems
•Experience in Cameo EA to model system architecture sequences in collaboration with design, software, and test engineers.

Candidate must have active DoD Secret within 5 years

•Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain specific program access

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience in integrating hardware and software in a lab environment

•Experience in software development, including interfacing with systems engineering and integration and test.

•Experience using Cameo EA interfaces to DOORS and Model Center to exercise the systems engineering digital thread in partnership with Requirements and Analysis disciplines.

•Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred.

•Preference for final active DoD Top Secret within 5 years.
 


Salary Range: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
