Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineering Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This leadership position is located in Melbourne, Florida.

This Systems Engineering Manager 3 will be responsible for managing program change integration platforms and teams to include Hardware and Software Configuration Management, Data Management, Configuration Status Accounting, Functional and Physical Audits, and the Project Engineering Change implementation.  The selected candidate will own change process governance and execution.  This position is functionally aligned under the Systems Engineering Directorate but will brief program and customer leadership directly on change metrics, status, and risks.  The selected candidate will be responsible for direct leadership of all change integration teams to include staffing and budget decisions, as well as executing efficiency initiatives to improve team performance.  

The selected candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, be capable of successfully coordinating with multiple high-level stakeholders across multiple contracts in both the program and customer organizations, and be comfortable with leading, guiding, and managing large teams of 70+.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) discipline and have 9 years of professional/military experience in Systems Engineering and/or Program Management, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of professional/military experience in Systems Engineering and/or Program Management
  • Possess an Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to start.
  • Experience working with Executive Leadership
  • Must have Program Integration or Program/Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Special program Access
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of large teams
  • Experience in change integration, CDM, and Functional and Physical Audits
  • Experience with managing concurrency of design and production
  • Exceptional organizational planning and management skills
  • Ability to comfortably and compelling address large groups / brief high-level executives
  • Ability to strategically negotiate customer requests as they relate to change integration leading to the achievement of program requirements

Salary Range: $152,100 USD - $228,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
