Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a highly motivated Staff Flight Test Engineer, specializing in Mission Systems testing to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
In this role you will develop mission systems strategies on a classified program. You will be responsible for developing test schedules and presentations and cost/schedule performance for the various Mission Systems test strategies. You will lead test working group meetings and provide mentorship to less experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the Mission Systems IPT to define the requirements for the systems under test
- Decompose specifications to system performance, interface, test and verification requirements
- Leading system testing, reporting, development of test procedures and data acquisition
- Developing Mission/Model Based Test and Evaluation (MBT&E) strategies

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 12 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience.
- Experience with requirements development to include systems test procedures for lab integration
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience working with Mission Systems and/or Mission Systems testing
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Systems Test and/or Flight Test certification
- Knowledge of lab processes, hardware testing, integration and System Qualification Testing
