Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Systems Engineer. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Linthicum, MD.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission, Modeling Simulation and Analysis team.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Utilize Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) of advanced systems using C++ object-oriented design, advanced data structures and test-driven development.
• Developing using Python for large scale data analytics, probability and statistics, including the application of design of experiment techniques for the evaluation of system and mission performance. Integrate MS&A with operational flight software, collecting and analyzing data from laboratory or flight tests, the verification and validation of simulation performance against flight test data, and formally verifying that the models meet specified requirements.
• Produce publication quality reports which define the foundation for simulation credibility across all stakeholders and provide the artifacts to support formal simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VVA).
• Innovate to solve problems and identify improvements across MS&A products.
• Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.
• Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models.
• Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and recommends alternative architectures.
• Simulates real-time operations and develops software that simulates behavior of systems.
• Develops, integrates and uses advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or 2.

Basic Qualifications for Level 1: 

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s) from an accredited institution
• Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile). 
• Must be a U.S Citizenship and be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite
• Experience using C++ and/or Python

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their degree (Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
• Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile). 
• Must be a U.S Citizenship and be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite
• Experience using C++ and/or Python

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
• Experience with Analytical Modeling
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Salary Range Level 1: 67, 000 - 100, 600

Salary Range Level 2: 81, 000 - 121, 600

Salary Range: $67,000 USD - $100,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
