Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Integration & Test) in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU).
As a part of the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) team, an Integration & Test engineer gains an understanding of the Systems Engineering process across a product's lifecycle and gains a full appreciation for how the systems operate.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to complete tasks with little direction and oversight. They will be an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics, integrity.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Automated Testing framework
Software baseline deployment
Testing and troubleshooting the environment
Reading error logs
Coordinate corrections with the development team.
Additional responsibilities may include an understanding of test plans, test procedures, test automation, test reports, and execution of integration test activities in System Integration Labs (SILs) or offsite locations.
This position may be located at our Morrisville North Carolina, Aurora Colorado, or Fairfax Virginia locations. (Compensation varies per location)
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level (level 3) or a Senior Principal level (level 4), depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.
Basic Qualifications
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at time of application
Must be willing to submit to a polygraph
Must have a completed STEM degree with below years of experience in systems engineering [a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics]
Principal level (level 3)
5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's (STEM)
3 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's (STEM)
1 Years of relevant experience with a completed Ph.D. (STEM)
Senior Principal level (level 4)
8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's (STEM)
6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's (STEM)
4 Years of relevant experience with a completed Ph.D. (STEM)
Must have experience on all of the below:
Proficient with Cameo specifically requirement management
Experience with Software Baseline Integration.
Experience with test planning and documentation.
Understanding of Automated Testing Framework
Basic understanding of Python and Java
Familiarity working in a Linux environment.
Understanding of basic docker concepts
Preferred Qualifications
Polygraph within the last 10 years.
Proficient in Kubernetes: ability to debug services that run-in cluster through command line and/or rancher.
Proficient with using Git for source code management.
Ability to debug and problem solve when things don’t work out of the box.
Experience working in a cross-functional agile team.
Experience with MBSE, Visio, Cameo, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
Experience with Satellite Ground SW system and verification.
Experience with Gherkin, Cucumber, Zephyr.
