Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Grounds Systems Engineer/Sr. Principal Grounds Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

**This position may be filled by either a Principal Grounds Systems Engineer level or a Sr. Principal Grounds Systems Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.

Essential Functions:

•            Experience with DevOps environments, virtual cloud solutions/architectures

•            Strong Customer interaction Skills, problem solving  and critical thinking at Customer facility

•            Ability to brief program leadership and resolve major IT roadblocks to facilitate Team success

•            Experience with Agile concepts and framework

•            Willing to travel up to 50% of time

Basic Qualifications:

For Principal Grounds Systems Engineer (T03):

•            Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military software and/or systems engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree AND 3 years of related professional/military software and/or systems engineering experience, or a Ph.D.

•            Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).

•            Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) prior to start

•            Must have demonstrated experience in Cloud based networking design, to include IP address planning, switching, and routing

Basic Qualifications:

For Sr. Principal Grounds Systems Engineer (T04):

•            Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military software and/or systems engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree AND 7 years of related professional/military software and/or systems engineering experience, or a Ph.D AND 4 years of related professional/military software and/or systems engineering experience.

•            Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).

•            Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) prior to start

•            Must have demonstrated experience in Cloud based networking design, to include IP address planning, switching, and routing

Preferred Qualifications:

•            DOD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level Security Clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years

•            Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in Electronics, Computer or Electrical Engineering

•            Experience with working on a multidisciplinary team and writing technical proposals

•            Possess a DODD 8570 certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP ,Security +

•            Working knowledge of cyber security, STIGs and associated elements

•            Ground system setup, software development and/or systems administration


Salary Range: $85,600 USD - $128,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $106,200 USD - $159,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
