Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a MBSE Principal Systems Engineer / Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Final grade offered will be based on level of experience.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will be part of the Command & Launch Systems Engineering team supporting the development of the architecture, requirements and verification plans for Physical Security system.
Specific duties in this role will include:
•Support systems engineering activities including use case development, requirements definition/allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability to the test plans
• Develop/Maintain descriptive system models in UAFP, SysML, and UML using MBSE tools to define interfaces, physical/functional block diagrams, and behaviors
• Coordinate with integrated product teams for establishing content within the architecture.
• Interface with customers, program management and technical staff.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
•Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s Degree; 0 years with PhD
•Sr. Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 9 years of experience; 7 years with Master’s Degree; 4 years with PhD
•Broad technical and MBSE experience, across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle.
•Experience with DOORS
•Experience developing models with Cameo or equivalent tools
•Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
•Current DoD Secret clearance granted or re-investigated within last 6 years
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the Systems Engineering V
•Experience with physical security systems
•Experience with Agile Development
•Experience with Unified Profile for DoDAF and MoDAF (UPDM), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), and/or the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
•Experience using Requirements repository tools (i.e., DOORS)
•Current DoD Secret clearance granted or re-investigated within last 6 years
