Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to hire a Command and Launch (C&L) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Mission Integration Manager 3 in support of the Sentinel program. This leadership role will be located in Roy, UT, Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.

What You’ll Get To Do:

As Systems Engineering Manger 3, you will manage the day to day operations of the Mission Integration team and be responsible for coordination across the C&L segment mission capabilities. The Mission Integration team will be responsible for the oversight and on-schedule development of the C&L mission capability architecture, requirements, OPSCON, and providing presentation materials suitable for Weapon System and C&L Working Groups. As the Mission Integration Team Lead, you will lead the implementation of the processes dictating requirements development, verification activities, OPSCON and use cases, C&L architecture, and analysis model development. You will work with both the Program and lower-level Command and Launch Element Teams to develop and mature systems engineering content and artifacts using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods. You will have an opportunity to work with teammates across a wide variety of disciplines and become intimately familiar with all aspects of Sentinel. You will have opportunities to present at milestone reviews to program leadership and the customer, to include Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) and quarterly CDR Prep Reviews.  You will also be expected to coordinate with various teams to develop, document, and maintain design solutions. All job functions require close teamwork across technical disciplines and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in a fast-paced environment. This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related discipline with 8 years of engineering experience and minimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management position

-At least 3 years experience in an area of systems engineering (requirements development, architecture development, analysis, major milestones-SRR, PDR, CDR)

-Active Secret clearance within the last 6 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Demonstrated understanding of requirements development/management using DOORS or similar tool.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a diverse team.

-Demonstrated understanding of model development/management using CAMEO or similar tool.

-Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysML

-Advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.

-Active Top Secret/SCI clearance within 6 years.

This position reports to Roy, UT, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 2 locations listed above.


Salary Range: $152,100 USD - $240,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
