Northrop Grumman is seeking a senior leader to lead the System Test Support organization. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel System Test Team (STT)

What you will get to do:

This position will be responsible for the Launch Support System (LSS) development and integration, system level test data and instrumentation development, analysis and operations, test network development and administration, as well has horizontal support within the program test community. The selected individual will be expected to provide vision to the work scopes below to meet customer SOW requirements and company objectives, within budget and schedule constraints. 

Specific areas of responsibility are:

  • Launch Support System requirements, development, integration, and operation
  • Test Data Management Plan development and implementation
  • Test Network development and administration for Test products
  • Special Test equipment development to support unique test events
  • Development and Operations of the Maintenance Integration Facility (MIF) at HAFB, UT
  • Development and Operations of the Strategic Missile Test and Production Center at Promontory, UT to support Ground and Flight Test

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage a cross functional senior leadership team, and an organization including systems engineers, test engineers, instrumentation engineers, networking engineers, software engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, among others.
  • Operate and lead in fast paced environment, effectively managing prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Strong time management and project management skills and a proven record of meeting very aggressive schedules
  • Interact with the customer and program leadership to define and maintain the technical baseline.
  • Effectively communicate and present to program management, other technical leaders, technical peers and customers
  • Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Cost and Schedule Management - Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Supplier Management
  • Change and Configuration Management – Technical Review Boards, Configuration Control Boards
  • Issues Management
  • Affordability Initiatives
  • Long Range Strategic Planning
  • Proposal and Capture Activities
  • Major Design Reviews – presentations, exhibits, demos, formal customer CDRL deliveries
  • Lifecycle Cost Management

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and with at least 10 years of experience in IPT and/or program management supporting US Government contracts and customers; or Masters of Science in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and with at least 8 years of experience in IPT and/or program management supporting US Government contracts and customers.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with completed investigation within the last 6 years, with the ability to obtain a program SAP clearance
  • 5 years of direct experience leading large teams, projects or programs to successful goal attainment.
  • Experience in program execution and demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to create trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Systems Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience in requirements verification and test planning in an MBSE environment
  • Prior experience in system level testing environments and test execution efforts
  • Experience with risk, issue, and opportunity management
  • Earned Value Management Experience (EVMS) experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs comprised of engineering, business, contracts, law, supply chain, production, and mission/quality assurance disciplines.
  • Proven ability to lead a high performing team with evidence of being able to create an inclusive work environment that attracts, retains, and inspires diverse and engaged teams.

Salary Range: $160,400 USD - $240,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
