Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualification below.

What you’ll get to do: 

• Develop, perform and document tests, includes test planning, test conduction, data analysis and documenting test results
• Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for missile system payloads
• Perform CAM duties for the PLT Test Team
• Verify specifications and designs through testing, test data processing, and support modeling and simulation and performance analysis
• Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
• Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
• Create technical reports and present test and analysis results
• Interface with AF customer

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Basic Qualifications:

This position may be filled at a Principal or Sr. Principal level

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
• A minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM; 3 years with a Master’s (Sr. Principal requires 9 years with a Bachelor's; 7 years with a Master's; or 3 years with a PhD)
• US Citizen with an active Secret clearance awarded or reviewed within the last 6 years and eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance
• Experience with mathematical modeling, statistics, and/or numerical optimization
• Experience with scientific computer programming (MATLAB, C++, Python, R, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Experience with Testing for ICBM programs
• Laboratory facility design, including laboratory floor layouts, test hardware, test software, test stations, test sets, and network architectures
• Test Plan writing and costs estimation support
• Hardware/software requirements documents writing
• Hardware/software security requirements writing
• Laboratory integration and check-out
• Experience in Risk Reduction
• Experience in DoD or aerospace product development and manufacturing
• Cost Account Management (CAM0/ Earn Value (EV) Qualification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
