Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Systems Test Engineer (Level 2) or a Principal Systems Test Engineer (Level 3) This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel – Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. 

 

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Candidate will plan and execute system level integration and test activities. Candidates will collaborate with other integrated product teams (IPTs) to define test objectives, resources and requirements in support of test planning while authoring system-level test information/planning sheets. Test engineers will be responsible for ground or flight test execution and post activity report writing. Test Engineers will also work in System Integration Labs (SILs) or ground test facilities coordinating/operating within a large integration and test environment. Candidates will work with test and measurement equipment and with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDRAW.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

 

This position may be filled at either at a System Test (Level 2) or Principal Systems Test (Level 3) per the requirements below: 

 

System Test Engineer 

• 2 years of Test related experience with Bachelors; 0 Years with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance to start, and the ability to gain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. 

. Prior experience or knowledge of hardware and/or software test principle, processes, and procedures 

Principal System Test Engineer 

• 5 years of Test related experience with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 

 This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance to start, and the ability to gain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. 

. Prior experience or knowledge of hardware and/or software test principle, processes, and procedures

 

These Qualifications would be Nice to Have: 

Active DoD Secret/ Top Secret clearance, granted or re-investigated within the last 6 years or in continuous evaluation 

Prior knowledge or exposure with data collection/instrumentation methods and post-processing of data 

Prior knowledge or exposure to test set calibration/validation in respect to common test and measurement equipment (e.g. Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope) and test script development (e.g. Python. MatLab...etc) 

Prior knowledge or exposure using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software and Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tools (eg CAMEO, DOORS, and NX) 
Knowledge or exposure to test automation principles or prior implementation experience. 

Prior knowledge or exposure planning/executing in an AGILE work environment

Salary Range: $66,600 USD - $99,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $82,000 USD - $123,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
