Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 3 in support of the Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position will be in Roy, UT.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

System Engineering Proposal Captain: Within the Sentinel System Engineering, Integration, and Test Segment (SEIT) IPT, the Proposal Captain lead provides leadership and oversight for the planning and execution of the following functions:

• Proposal baseline management, including advance procurement/production proposal and REA proposals.
• IMP/IMS planning, including overseeing SEIT baseline planning updates.
• Basis of estimate and technical estimating, including responding to incoming RFIs.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8 years engineering experience. 
• 3 years in a formal lead/ management position
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance  

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university
• TS/SCI clearance
• 10 years engineering experience
• Previous access to a SAP
• Experience with the GBSD (Sentinel) weapon system
• Departmental Management Experience
• Experience as a team lead or manager
• Earned Value Management Experience
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA
• Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Strong customer communication skills
• Prior experience as a system engineering subject matter expert or IPT lead

Salary Range: $152,100 USD - $264,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
