Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer - Data Analyst or Principal Systems Engineer - Data Analyst.  This position will be located at Roy, UT and will support the Ground Subsystems Support Contract (GSSC) program. This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

  • Work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers.
  • Participate and lead systems engineering and technical risk management of weapon system parts and subsystems
  • Analyze failure and performance data across ICBM subsystems
  • Develop innovative approaches to analyzing weapon system data using statistics and data analysis
  • Prepare presentations and reports to brief Northrop Grumman and Air Force leadership on the status of weapon system assessment and risks
  • Dynamically engage with AF customers to meet their needs and provide them with needed insight for sustainment of the ICBM weapon system
  • Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate test requirements and prepare test reports

This position requires excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior management, peers, and employees.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

Basic Qualifications:

This position may be filled at a Systems Engineer level or Principal Systems Engineer level

  • Systems Engineer:  Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 2 years’ of related engineering experience
  • Principal Systems Engineer:  Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 5 years’ of related engineering experience; or 3 years’ experience with a Master’s degree;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with ICBM weapon system sustainment engineering and integration or familiarity with USAF Maintenance and associated Data Systems (IMDS, REMIS) or 2 years experience working directly with USAF enterprise level organizations (MAJCOM, NAF, SPO, SD, or similar).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Dynamic personality for customer interactions engineering and integration

Salary Range: $73,400 USD - $110,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
