Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to hire a Test Engineering Manager 2 to its team of diverse and qualified individuals. These positions will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

  • Develops and execute the integrated test strategy of the program through development of the Integrated Test Plan CDRL A328
  • Synthesize test requirements into verification requirements, test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrations. 
  • Orchestrate and coordinate the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test information sheets (TIS), test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reports.
  • Execution of qualification and acceptance testing per system level requirements, plans and procedures.
  • Develop test enabling product requirements (i.e. MGSE, EGSE, test instrumentation, test facilities).
  • Creation of test ConOps flows that maximizes the utility of test resources while meeting schedule and technical requirements and/or constraints
  • Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, technical stakeholders, peers, and customers.
  • Participate in internal Engineering Review Boards (ERB), internal and customer test planning working groups.
  • Support program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) development
  • Lead test planning campaigns through major program milestones and/or mission threads

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of related test or systems engineering experience, 4 years with a Master’s degree.
  • Active Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years with the ability to obtain special access.
  • At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • 2 years of MBSE/SYSML principals and processes in a System Test environment
  • 1 year of experience with test engineering principles and processes, specifically Integrated Test Planning and Detailed Test Planning
  • 1 year of experience with Cost Account Manager (CAM) or managing EV for an engineering team. A CAM Certification may be used in lieu of experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline
  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience with system integration and test principles and processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Model Based System Engineering principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SYSML and Cameo
  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman test processes and tools
  • Prior experience test planning for a missile program
  • Travel is expected up to 10% of the time to support test planning and execution activities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

Salary Range: $116,200 USD - $174,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
