The Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking an Electronics Engineer ito support our Integration and Test facility located in Dulles, VA

In this position we are seeking a creative and energetic engineer to design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment during 2nd shift Satellite testing operations.  The ideal candidate has system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and good computer skills.  Daily responsibilities will require test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware.  Candidate must be able to tackle issues utilizing skills obtained in the field of electrical engineering, or a related discipline, preferably as it relates to system level integration and test of flight hardware.  Required skills include the ability to communicate clearly, and to use critical thinking in troubleshooting of problems.  The ability to use a scripting language and formulate automated test scripts is highly desirable.  Domestic and international travel may be required to support launch campaigns.  Shift and weekend work to support testing will be required periodically.  

Employee will be compensated an additional 10% for second shift differential

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM discipline and 2 years of relevant engineering experience OR a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM discipline and 0 years of engineering experience
  • U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security clearance
  • Excellent writing skills
  • 2nd shift

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SAP/SAR access highly desirable
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Familiar with software languages such as PERL, Python, C++, Linux, and Matlab

Salary Range: $106,000 USD - $117,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
