Are you ready to join Northrop Grumman? If so, put your experience to work as a member of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) technical staff. The position supports the US Army IBCS, which is a ground transportable, tactical integrated air and missile defense command and control system. Put your experience to work as a Manager Technical Services Engineering to assist with the implementation and execution of worldwide training operations supporting the US Army customer foreign military sales (FMS) case, Poland.

This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama with possible relocation to Warsaw Poland at equipment fielding in early to mid-year 2023.

Duties Include:

  • Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems

  • Provides expertise for resolving technical problems

  • Develops and manages a detailed project schedule and work plan

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

  • Monitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as required

  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and dedication to continuous improvement

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Experience with business case development

  • Establishes and enforces team policies, procedure, and client standards

  • Leads product development and life cycle management process to support new product introductions and life cycle management opportunities

This position requires extended travel to multiple CONUS/OCONUS locations including Poland.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience or 10 years’ experience in lieu of a degree

  • Manages the technical operations and strategic growth of its infrastructure

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring team progress

  • Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and procedures

  • Possess technical skills analysis and interpretation do decimate as appropriate

  • Monitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis

  • Actively assists or provides direction to subordinates

  • Possesses excellent problem-solving skills with the customer/leadership

  • Performs on-going operational tasks of organization groups in staff and professional groups

  • Executes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within the department

  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates knowledge assessment

  • Ensures solutions are consistent with WISŁA IBCS objective

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years’ experience or 15 years’ experience in lieu of a degree

  • Experience leading technical teams to accomplish time critical tasks/events

  • Experience with cost/schedule, work packages, and day-to-day workflow

  • Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects

  • Develops and delivers presentations to leadership and/or customer

  • Ability to speak Polish

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Experience with Air and Missile Defense Tactical Operations


Salary Range: $92,600 USD - $138,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
