Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for Red Hat SME's (multiple positions) to join the Command and Control, Communication and Computer Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit in support of our programs, in Huntsville, AL. This position is capable of placing candidates anywhere within C4MD, MRPS, any programs like IBCS, Wisla, SHORAD, and/or IRADs.

This requisition may be filled at Principal or Sr Principal Red Hat SME level:

• Principal - Bachelor's degree in STEM (and 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD)
• Sr Principal - Bachelor's degree in STEM (and 9 years of relevant experience, or Masters and 5 years, or PhD and 3 years)

Basic Qualifications:

• Active Secret Security Clearance is required

• Meet DoDM 8570.2 IAT II or III requirements (CompTIA Security+/One other OS Certificate)

• Must have 5+ years of Linux systems administrator experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in a networked, enterprise data center environment.
• Experience designing enterprise Linux solutions of moderate complexity based on identified requirements.
• Advanced experience performing root cause analysis, troubleshooting, monitoring server operating system performance and recommending updates to improve performance.
• Experience with managing virtual servers in a VMWare infrastructure.
• Experience with automation solutions and scripting (Ansible, Puppet/Chef, bash, perl, etc.).
• Must have experience managing authentication and authorization for RHEL using Active Directory.
• Experience with securing the Linux operating system environment in compliance with NIST 800-171 standards and DOD STIGs.
• Experience collaborating and coordinating project tasks in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Ability to work both Server Admin and Field service (PC ) work daily.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and move into positions either standing or kneeling that require connecting computing equipment up for use.

• CISSP certification

Salary Range: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD

Salary Range 2: $117,900 USD - $176,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
