Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Tactical Space Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal DOORS Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Gilbert, Arizona, AZ.

Position Overview:

Successful candidate will provide cross functional support for requirements management utilizing IBM Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) as an administrator on multiple programs. Responsibilities include creating DOORS processes and procedures, training materials, and acting as a technical interface to other working level counterparts (internal and external).

Essential Functions:

  • Maintaining, streamlining, and establishing consistent practices within the DOORS environment, which includes data created internal to programs and modules received from the customer and subcontractors
  • Identifying and analyzing technological problems or risks related to DOORS and system requirements processes
  • Driving the completeness and consistency of attributes and linkages within programs’ DOORS environments
  • Performing DOORS administration; creating modules for sites; synchronizing modules between sites; creating DOORS reports (e.g., specifications traceability and metrics), successfully addressing user problems (e.g., installation, use of Change Proposal System).  
  • Providing technical leadership for processes and best practices across IBM Rational DOORS
  • Establishing strong working relationships across program and functional organizations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM Science Technology Engineering Math with 5 years’ experience
  • Must have US Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Experience working with complex system development on large programs
  • Database archiving, user access management, and creating module/project baselines
  • Importing data into DOORS and exporting DOORS data into Microsoft Excel/Word
  • Advanced DOORS administrator skills
  • Training new users on how to utilize the DOORS tool, and document/update DOORS training material
  • Experience using DOORS Change Proposal System (CPS) or equivalent Configuration Management within DOORS
  • DOORS eXtension Language (DXL) programming skills to modify existing or create DXL scripts to manipulate DOORS data
  • Database administration experience e.g. SQL or others
  • Coding experience including Python and C++

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive IBM DOORS DXL scripting
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles
  • Familiarity with PTC Windchill
  • Experience coding in Microsoft Visual Basic Editor in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) strongly desired
  • Experience exporting DOORS data using IBM Rational Publishing Engine or Engineering Lifecycle Optimization Publishing
  • Experience with IBM DOORS NextGen and java script
  • Experience working across multiple classification levels and programs
  • GitHub or Rest API developer experience

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
