Northrop Grumman Aeronautics System Sector is seeking a Manager Industrial Engineering 3

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking to hire an Industrial Engineering Operations Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals in the Industrial Engineering Operations Management organization. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Industrial Engineering Operations Management integration and utilization of common facilities, capacity analysis, integration of resources and implementation of improvement initiatives across the program. In addition, work in concert with other functional homerooms and shared service organizations, to coordinate, direct, and support the continuous improvement of people, products, processes, systems and services. The position oversees projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group and provides direction to ensure cost, schedule, and quality are achieved. Responsible for direct supervision/management of employees from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas to ensure cost, schedule, and quality goals are met.

  • Lead, Develop & grow IEOM management team as well as individual contributors
  • Strategize & develop IEOM goals, vision & talent retention plans
  • Provide oversight and direction for high level scenarios & trade studies
  • Work side by side with Operations Directors/VP’s by developing tools to help them achieve all cost & schedule targets
  • Create long range planning & strategies for the operations team (eg: staffing forecasting, rate change planning, execution strategy of new initiatives, pull ahead strategies, line balancing assessments, EAC / Budget forecasting)
  • Partner with site leadership to develop executive planning and strategic vision that help achieve sector goals & objectives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in aerospace high production environments OR a Master’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in aerospace high production environments
  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree with 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering in aerospace high production environments
  • Experience with multiple program environments utilizing common infrastructure and facilities
  • Experience and expertise with SFC systems and MES/SAP environments within aerospace for both fabrication and final assembly
  • Experience with Project Management and the execution of large scale, integrated projects across multiple functions and organizations

Salary Range: $141,300 USD - $211,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
