This position is for a Ground Terminal Engineering Site Installation Lead (IM), with responsibility for all aspects of the Ground Terminal installation at an international site in Western Australia.  The person in this position acts as the primary interface between the Northrop Grumman Ground Hardware team in Redondo Beach, Site stakeholders, and on-Site Customer technical representatives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible to lead the subcontractors from site survey through completion of construction, including:

• Site access requests

• Work Order release

• subcontractor coordination and mobilization

• Daily interaction with various Government agencies to coordinate activities and approvals, and status to the Factory and Site.

This position is based out of Redondo Beach, CA, but requires a two-year PCS commitment at the Western Australia site.  The successful candidate will possess strong communication, technical knowledge, leadership, strategic thinking, effective execution, and program collaboration skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited institution and 14 years of experience with BS degree; 12 years with Masters; 9 years with PhD.

• Candidate must be able to operate independently, with strong communication skills to interface with NG and various Government representatives in the context of very different time zones.

• Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:

• Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within the last 6 years

• OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years with recent polygraph withing last 5 years

• OR Dept of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Antenna, RF design and test experience

• High-speed digital and network hardware experience

• Experience managing subcontractors

This position reports to Manhattan Beach, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Redondo Beach, CA, CA, USA.

Salary Range: $156,000 USD - $234,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
