Job Summary

The ADM will assist in the development and implementation of initiatives (people, processes, tools, and products) for the Systems Engineering (SE) Directorate. The ADM role is a full-time position within the functional management organization, reporting to either the MEO, CSMP or the SSE&I Center.

 

Role and Responsibilities

Primary job responsibilities include:

- Assist in the development and implementation of directorate, center, and department strategies to drive employee engagement, skills development, and retention of talent

- Manage senior department staff to include career planning, goal setting, performance reviews, etc.

- Act as focal for process excellence oversight (i.e., oversight of department scrum masters)

- Develop and implement department statistics strategy (staff database, staffing metrics, clearance metrics, etc.)

- Serve as the SE directorate interface to programs for program status and upcoming functional support needs

- Represent the SE directorate in Program Startup Reviews (PSRs), deployment reviews, and Independent Review Teams (IRTs)

Basic Qualifications:  

- Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 9+ years of experience in engineering OR Master's degree from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 7+ years of experience in engineering OR PhD from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 3+ years of experience in engineering

- SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years OR Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years

- Prior management experience leading a team and supporting multiple programs

- Broad understanding of system engineering processes and products with a proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to these discipline areas

 

Preferred Qualifications

 - Advanced Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Experience interfacing with senior management, peers, and employees

- Aptitude to develop and execute to a strategy

- Self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering on Space Programs

- Knowledge of the technical disciplines managed under the CSMP, MEO & SSE&I Centers

- Active Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $176,100 USD - $264,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
