Northrop Grumman’s DARC program is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team to help facilitate the MMDAT (Missions, Modes, & Algorithms Development Team).  The position can be based at our facility either in Colorado Springs, Colorado or Bellevue, Nebraska.

This role will provide leadership, support, and guidance to the MMDAT team in a manner consistent with Agile beliefs and principles. Be a servant leader who serves the needs of team members such that team members grow both personally and professionally. This person will effectively facilitate Agile ceremonies and act as an Agile coach to lead team(s) that are working on IT projects (s) that are medium, or large, complex, and impact.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Guide the team and organization in effectively employing Agile/Scrum practices and principles to create value and increase customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Support and educates the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog and planning releases.
  • Understand the product being delivered and contribute to product development.
  • Facilitate Scrum meetings: Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Epic and Story Estimation, Sprint Review and Demo, and Retrospective.
  • Assist stay focused by removing obstacles, minimizing distractions, and keeping team meetings concise and efficient.
  • Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable.
  • Create and maintains information radiators and team tools, including sprint board, burn-down charts, burn-up charts, progress dashboards, etc.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4, depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.

Basic Qualifications

Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience; a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience; a Ph.D. with 0 years of related experience; 9+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active/Current Secret security clearance or higher to be considered; must have the ability to obtain a DoD TS level clearance
  • One Agile certification (CSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, CSPO, CSP) required.
  • Working knowledge of several Agile Frameworks.
  • Extensive Experience in using Atlassian or other relevant Agile management tools.
  • Knowledge of the software development processes and methodologies.

Level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related experience; a master’s degree with 7 years of related experience; a Ph.D. with 4 years of related experience; 13+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active/Current Secret security clearance or higher to be considered; must have the ability to obtain a DoD TS level clearance
  • One Agile certification (CSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, CSPO, CSP) required.
  • Working knowledge of several Agile Frameworks.
  • Extensive Experience in using Atlassian or other relevant Agile management tools.
  • Knowledge of the software development processes and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM
  • Java SW experience
  • Experience with Radar communications
  • Experience with Agile development and continuous integration and test
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies
  • Previous in depth domain knowledge of program software design and code
  • Proficiency with DevOps technologies including Jenkins, Fortify, Ansible, Atlassian suite

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range:  Level 3 = $95,100 - $142,700; Level 4 = $117,900 – 176,900

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Salary Range: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD
