Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Radar Design & Integration Responsible Electronics Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Electronics & Payloads organization. This role is located in Melbourne FL.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Air Dominance Division is developing advanced tactical aircraft for the current and future battlespace. Specifically, the Mission Systems IPT is in charge of designing, developing, integrating, and testing RF sensors onto and into these airborne platforms.

• This role is for a Radar Lead under the Mission Systems IPT RF Sensors & Effects team.
• The IPT is looking for a person to be the primary technical interface between NGAS and the major radar suppliers.
• This person will work with GSC as they interface with supplier SMEs and be responsible for technical reporting to the RF Sensors & Effects Lead, the IPT Lead, and the Customer's Mission Systems IPT.
• Candidates should have experience in RF propagation from L, S, C, X, and Ku (or above) bands, analog & digital signal processing, multipath, clutter, radar receiver architecture, signal processing, modulation/demodulation, and RF threats.
• It is also advantageous to have "backend processing" information such as how the sensors integrate into the Mission Systems network, how they are managed (by resource managers), how they interface and work with other RF sensors, and how they should be modeled.
• This position will require up to 25% travel.
• The ideal candidate will have a background in one or more of the following:
  • Radar theory
  • Radar design
  • Radar testing
  • Radar integration and test
  • Radar modeling
  • Complex electromagnetics
  • Radar and electronic warfare modes
  • Phased array theory
  • Receiver architecture
  • Advanced signal processing techniques
  • Sensor modeling
  • Sensor performance validation

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Electronics Engineering to include a background in Radar/RF, OR a Master’s degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Electronics Engineering to include a background in Radar/RF, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Electronics Engineering to include a background in Radar/RF. 
• Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Current/Active Special Program Access (SAP)

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
