Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an exciting career opportunity for a Systems Engineering Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.  

The selected candidate will manage the Mission Engineering Team within the Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT)  This team of skilled engineers has responsibilities for operational analysis and virtual (aka Man-In-The-Loop) simulation evaluations. This team has responsibility for analysis of system performance and the associated support to the analysis of design trade studies, performance and interface requirements, contribution of subsystem attributes to overall weapon system effectiveness and cost/performance factors. The selected candidate is responsible for: guiding the team in its analysis and testing of next generation tactical assets within an advanced threat environment; the understanding and use of system of systems (SoS) assets within the context of supplementing blue force capabilities, analysis of next generation threat capabilities, development of Concepts of Employment (CONEMPS) and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), management of contract, NCTA, and capital budget & EAC, Earned Value Management, staffing and employee evaluations.  In addition, this candidate will support proposal development through developing and integrating sections of the program Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS); researching and leveraging past performance from multiple programs to develop and defend the Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the Cost Volume. The selected candidate must be resourceful and highly motivated to participate in a fast-paced dynamic capture campaign. Candidate will contribute to high-visibility activities and have opportunities to periodically demonstrate integrated capabilities to sector leadership and high value customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) related discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience OR Master’s in STEM with 7+ years engineering experience
• Prior experience performing systems/operational analysis, and/or weapon systems analysis in air war applications.
• Prior experience performing weapon system level design, integration, or test and evaluation.
• Must be able to interface and communicate with Engineers and Management
• Must have strong technical writing and communication skills, and willingness to be flexible in evolving program environments 
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with the interaction of operations analysis and/or virtual simulation tools with MBSE modeling products, such as Cameo
• An understanding of tactical aircraft aero-performance, sensors, weapons, and communication
• Operations Analysis and/or Virtual Simulation experience
• Weapon System level test and evaluation
• An understanding of Integrated Air Defense Systems and capabilities.
• Experience with developing and presenting technical documentation and briefings to the customer and organization leadership
• Experience in new business development and proposal management, from capture planning to proposal delivery.
• Active in-scope Top Secret clearance with current or previous Special Program Access (PAR)

Salary Range: $147,700 USD - $221,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
