Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Computer Engineer / Sr. Principal Computer Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future.  This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. 

**This position may be filled by either a Principal Computer Engineer level or a Sr. Principal Computer Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.

Essential Functions:

•             Design and develop computer and network architectures, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis

•             Experience with trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) with regard to supplier current and future products offerings

•             Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of work

•             Building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection

•             Ability to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews

Basic Qualifications:

For – Principal Computer Engineer (T03):

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of experience OR 0 years’ experience OR PhD and 4 years of experience

• Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

For – Sr. Principal Computer Engineer (T04):

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of experience OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of experience

• Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering

• Demonstrated experience in Computation Architectures including server infrastructure, virtual machines, or chassis based compute architectures.

• Possess a DODD 8570 certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications

• Experience with embedded systems, Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems, single board computers, servers, thin / zero clients and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions

• Experience in VPX architectures

• Experience working with vendors to identify program needs and perform trades as needed to select equipment.

• Experience with working on a multidisciplinary team and writing technical proposals

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
