Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal RF/Cosite Engineer / Sr. Principal RF/Cosite Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future.  This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. 

**This position may be filled by either a Principal RF/Cosite Engineer level or a Sr. Principal RF/Cosite Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.

The candidate will perform the SOW RF/Cosite Avionics Integration Engineer guiding the development of the architecture while coordinating with the Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities:

-             Support of the verification of aircraft avionics and Prime Mission Equipment installations and aircraft certification documents such as SSOWs, PDIRs, and SCDs.

-             Providing engineering support for RF/Cosite Analysis (AnSys / HFSS – RF Analysis)

-             Experience with Navigation elements of co-site (TACAN, IFF, GPS, ect…)

-             Proposal Engineering support in Nav, Comms, and Flight Certification

-             Support potential green A/C radar modifications

-             SATCOM Experience

-             Radio Communication Experience

-             ICS design support

-             Vendor liaison support

•            Create aircraft system schematics to support air vehicle wiring diagrams.

•            Requirements development and analysis with the capability to support trade studies.

•            Manage suppliers, review and analyze supplier design data, define functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration, and support test execution.

A successful RF/Cosite Avionics Engineer has good leadership skills and understands the scope of the work and the impact of the work on other teams. The RF/Cosite Avionics Engineer consistently brings up concerns, issues and risk and holds team to a high level of technical rigor.

Basic Qualifications:

For – Principal RF/Cosite Engineer (T03):

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of experience OR 0 years’ experience OR PhD and 4 years of experience

• Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

For – Sr. Principal RF/Cosite Engineer (T04):

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of experience OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of experience

• Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

• Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) experience

• Required Navigation Performance (RNP)/ Area Navigation (RNAV) certification experience

• Current/active Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)

• Experience with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429 and Ethernet communication protocols

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
