    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineering Manager 1 (S01) position to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.  The selected candidate will lead a Product Support Modeling and Simulation team of 5-10 systems engineers specializing in modeling and simulating fleet sustainment operations. This role includes the management of people, processes, assets, and budget related to the execution of Product Support modeling and simulation. The selected candidate will demonstrate exemplary professionalism and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. Will build or maintain diverse/inclusive teams with engaged team members. Will have knowledge and understanding of standard NGAS modeling and simulation engineering processes. Will have time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilities.

    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure consistency and quality of developed supportability models.
    • Act as a resourceful point of contact for Modeling and Simulation between the Logistics Support Analysis, Reliability, Maintainability, Prognostics and Health Management, and Support Equipment groups
    • Lead the development for documentation for supportability models.
    • Develop and maintain models for Availability, O&S Cost, Logistics Footprint, Level of Repair, Spares Forecasting
    • Support evolving design through trade studies and impact analysis

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited institution
    • Must-have at least 3 years of experience in supportability modeling and simulation, reliability, or supportability
    • Must-have experience managing or leading a team and developing talent
    • Must-have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters of Science degree
    • Experience working on military programs
    • 5 or more years of experience in supportability modeling and simulation
    • Experience with earned value management (EVMS)
    • Experience leading a supportability modeling and simulation project or team
    • Experience using logistics models and how the validation, verification, and accreditation process works


    Salary Range: $106,400 USD - $159,600 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
