Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Engineering Designer to support the Facilities Engineering organization in the design of facility projects that support both sustaining infrastructure and new program facilitation requirements at our Clearfield, Utah location.

In this position you will plan, design, and model new equipment installations, new factory construction, and factory remodels.  This position works hand in hand with the Facility Engineers to concept, design, and execute facility capital projects. 

This position may be filled at the Principal Engineering Design or Senior Principal Engineer Design level based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Level

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s degree; 0 years with PhD. Note: An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in designing facilities, equipment, and/or tooling
  • Significant number of CAD modeling hours and drafting experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar CAD programs
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

Senior Principal Level

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience; 7 years with Master’s degree; 4 years with PhD. Note: An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in designing facilities, equipment, and/or tooling
  • Significant number of CAD modeling hours and drafting experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar CAD programs
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specific experience with AutoCAD or Revit for building design
  • Experience using PDM systems (e.g. Teamcenter) to manage configuration of designs and models
  • Experience checking models
  • Knowledge of Utah Building Code and Regulatory requirements
  • Solid modeling experience with NX, CATIA, Solid Works, or similar
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with latest investigation within last 6 years

Salary Range: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
