Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal / Senior Principal Electronics Engineer to join the System Engineering Team (SET). This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Final grade level offered will be based on candidate level of experience.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The successful candidate’s primary focus will be on modeling of electrical circuits to support evaluation of Worst-Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) while the circuits are exposed to radiation environments (prompt dose rate, total ionizing dose, neutron displacement damage, neutron induced upset, and single event effects).

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Executes the testing and/or evaluation/validation of an electrical component, subsystem, or system analytical model or actual system implementation during Radiation Effects testing - requires the candidate to establish a thorough knowledge of the operation of the circuit and its use in the system application, using that insight to assure testing is conducted in a manner consistent with its use in flight.

• Develops Test Procedures and Performs Functional Testing on electronic hardware for radiation testing.

• Prepares and presents electrical engineering materials for requirements and design reviews.

• Participates in requirements derivation, allocation, and development.

• Evaluate uncertainty and risks associated with requirements and designs.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

•Sr. Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 9 years of experience; 7 years with Master’s Degree; 4 years with PhD

•Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s Degree; 0 years with PhD

•Experience with electrical circuit modeling and/or system level design or test

•Experience using SPICE tools for circuit simulation

•Able to effectively communicate technical data, written and verbally

•A current DoD Secret clearance or higher granted or re-investigated within last 6 years

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

•Worst Case Circuit Analysis experience

•Familiarity with MIL-STD-1766

•Familiarity with Micro-Cap SPICE

• Weapon system experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience)

Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Salary Range 2: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
