Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What you’ll get to do:

Support requirements allocation and flow down

Coordination & collaboration with the System Engineering team

Support trade studies

Evaluation of functional and performance requirements

Define and build the requirements architecture model using MBSE methodologies

Define verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements,

support allocation of lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements,

Support a team of engineers to create, mature and present comprehensive and cohesive technical charts representative of the appropriate level of maturation for any given milestone meeting and demonstrating team readiness in relation to achieving the milestone entrance and exit criteria

Identifying required contractual deliverables and non-contractual documentation aligned to the test organization

Coordinating and collaborating with diverse engineering design teams to assist in managing the technical baseline

• This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll bring these qualifications:

• A minimum 9 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM; 7 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with PhD
• U.S. Citizenship with active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance with investigation/adjudication within the last 6 years
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program Clearance
• 4+ years’ experience in design engineering related to H/W, S/W, Integration and verification related tasks
• 4+ years with Requirements Management in DOORS and/or Modeling with MBSE tools such as Cameo

These qualifications would be nice to have:

• Experience with system/subsystem integration, test, and verification.
• experience with Engineering Requirements Management Tools (i.e. DOORS)
• experience with MBSE Management Tools (i.e. Cameo, Rhapsody)

Salary Range: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
