Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior/Principal Testing Engineer-Infrastructure & Deployment.  This position will be located in [Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel – Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What Youll Get To Do: 

Help us blow stuff up!  The selected candidate, as part of the Analysis Group within the Infrastructure and Deployment team, will be responsible for managing test related planning and execution for facility nuclear hardness, unauthorized entry, and other required test programs.  This will include support of test flights for the new Sentinel missile.  This selected candidate will also develop or manage the development of the technical documents associated with this testing and present those documents to various stakeholders within Northrop Grumman and the AF.


Roles and Responsibilities: 
•    Coordination with AF and other Northrop Grumman test teams
•    Oversight of testing performed by Northrop Grumman or subcontractors
•    Creation and Review of Test Plans
•    Management of test execution, including schedule and cost
•    Coordination with Systems Engineering Requirements Verification Activities
•    Coordination with Modeling and Simulation Validation Activities
•    Equipment Check-Out and Start-Up Planning
•    Due to the complex nature of the systems analyzed, the position requires working closely with multiple engineering disciplines including but not limited to Civil Design, System Engineering, and Mechanical Design to achieve program objectives in a timely manner.
•    Additional work responsibilities may include task planning, conducting technical peer reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. 
•    Interface with AF customer

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Youll Bring These Qualifications:

Principal Test Engineer

•    5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

•    US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

•    Experience supporting Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM)  or other missile design and deployment programs or projects

•    Experience incorporating test data into analytical model benchmarking

Senior Principal Test Engineer

•    9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

•    US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

•    Experience supporting Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM)  or other missile design and deployment programs or projects

•    Experience incorporating test data into analytical model benchmarking

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

•    Bachelors Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.

•    US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

•    Experience with Delay or Blast Testing Programs

•    Experience providing feedback, direction and mentorship to Subcontractors

•    Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Experience

•    TeamCenter CPLM experience

•    Excellent technical writing skills, and team building skills

•    Effective in customer relations, expectation management

Salary Range: $82,000 USD - $123,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $101,600 USD - $152,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
