Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Command and Launch (C&L) Segment Interface Lead in support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This leadership role will be located in Roy, UT, Huntsville AL, or Colorado Springs, CO and will be at the Staff Systems Engineer level.

What You Will Get To Do: 

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Technical lead for a team of approximately 10-15 systems engineers.  These engineers will be conducting C&L Interfaces work scope in support of the Sentinel Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) program, to include coordination and understanding of both internal and external interfaces.
• Work with the Weapon System, C&L segment, and lower-level Element teams to develop and mature the C&L interfaces content. The team develops and incorporates the appropriate interface requirements for the C&L system and ensures that they are properly represented in the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) behavioral model.
• Work with teammates across a wide variety of disciplines and become intimately familiar with all aspects of Sentinel.
• Collaborate with program counterparts to develop systems engineering artifacts and contribute to requirements development and analysis (e.g Interface Control Documents, Interface Design Descriptions, and Interface Requirement Specifications).
• Present at milestone internal and customer CDR reviews, and to coordinate with various teams to analyze, develop, document, and maintain interface requirements and design solutions.
• Own and drive development of element-to-element interface details and the C&L inputs to segment-to-segment and Sentinel-to-external interfaces for both operational facilities and test sites.
• Ensure consistency and provide oversight of interface details throughout all interface levels of C&L.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 14 years’ experience; 12 years’ experience with a Master’s degree; or 9 years’ experience with a PhD 
• Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance  
• Active DoD Secret Clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• 2+ years of experience in developing interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture or MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools.
• Systems engineering experience.
• Experience in interface technical leadership.
• Experience with DoDAF and UPDM or UAF Profiles.
• Experience using DOORS (IBM Rational).
• Experience with NX or similar CAD modeling tools.
• Experience with complex system development on large programs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

This position reports to Roy, UT, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Huntsville, AL, AL, USA.

Salary Range: $139,000 USD - $219,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
