Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Parts, Materials and Processes (PM&P) Sr. Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Learn more about the Sentinel program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. 

 

What You’ll Get To Do:  

The PM&P Senior Manager is responsible for the PM&P organization which performs product parts, materials, and process engineering/management across the Sentinel Program supporting all Segments.

Responsible for the selection, qualification, processing, and testing of all PM&P employed to meet mission requirements.  

The applicant will have a strong background in the parts, materials, and assembly processes.  This PM&P background is necessary to support design, fabrication, and integration and test (I&T) activities.   In addition to their technical qualifications, the PM&P Lead must possess excellent communication skills as they will be the primary PM&P interface with multiple subcontractors as well as with program and customer management.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading program technical teams on complex and large integration programs along with a strong background in parts, materials, process engineering. Familiarity with the integration and test of missiles is also desired.  This position includes CAM oversight responsibilities.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor of Science Degree or higher Material Science, OR Materials Engineering, OR Chemical Engineering, or closely related STEM technical discipline with 8+ years of technical work experience.

·       3 years in management of engineering teams

·       3 years of experience in Parts, Materials and Processes (PM&P) type work on large military programs or similar

·       Active Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years

 

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: 

·       Experience managing cost, schedule and performance of large government technical statements of work

·       Experience with MIL-STD-11991 and/or MIL-STD-1568

·       Experience in Materials selection and qualification for missiles or space environment

·       Active Top Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills of the English language is desired


Salary Range: $152,100 USD - $228,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
