Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for Structural Analysis Engineers with ASIP program experience to join our team on the B-21 program in Melbourne, Florida. CURRENT CLEARANCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating activities with the customer and internal technical disciplines to satisfy program requirements in accordance with MIL-STD-1530C

  • Supports the updating/maintaining of the ASIP Master Plan

  • Supports the development and implementation of an Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) program and develops Structural Maintenance Plans

This requisition may be filled as either a Principal Engineer (level 3) or Senior Principal Engineer (level 4) based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Principal Structural Analysis Engineer: BS in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5+ years relevant experience; OR MS in a relevant STEM discipline and 3+ years relevant experience; OR Ph.D. in a relevant STEM discipline and 1+ years relevant experience

  • Sr. Principal Structural Analysis Engineer: BS in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 9+ years relevant experience; OR MS in a relevant STEM discipline and 7+ years relevant experience; OR Ph.D. in a relevant STEM discipline and 4+ years relevant experience

  • Experience with aerospace structural analysis

  • Prior experience working on a developmental Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) program

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret and Special Access Program (SAP) clearances prior to start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current, in-scope DoD Secret (or higher) clearance

  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering

  • Airframe experience with Advanced Composite Materials

  • A strong background in metallic and composite DaDT analysis and testing

  • Experience in certification and sustainment

  • Working knowledge and proficiency in using USAF damage tolerance tool AFGROW

  • Able to collaborate in a team environment

  • Able to effectively prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks to meet project needs

  • Able to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions

  • Experience leading a project or team

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
