Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Employee Health Nurse 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is fulltime on-site located in Melbourne, FL.
The Employee Health Nurse provides nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities. Delivers OSHA and job/site required surveillance program services such as hearing conservation or biological monitoring to employee populations in collaboration with appropriate functional teams. Maintains accurate recordkeeping in compliance with OSHA requirements; provides health promotion and disease prevention strategies; provides counseling, health education and training programs as applicable. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). May work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Associate of Science in Nursing (or 0+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Bachelor's of Science in Nursing).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations
Ability to work second shift.
CPR/BLS certification
Requires nursing curriculum and registration by a state board of nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years in occupational health
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
CPR/First Aid Instructor
Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
