**THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT ON SITE POSITION**

Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a Maintenance Plumber 3 (2ND SHIFT) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, Ca.

Essential Functions:

  • Determines defects in, repairs, and maintains heating, water, and drainage systems in industrial or commercial establishments. 

  • Inspects high-pressure, air, steam, water, and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions

  • Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, water heaters and hot water tanks.

  • Replaces washers

  • Mends or replaces burst or leaky pipes

  • Tests joints and pipe systems for leaks

  • Opens clogged drains

  • Measures, cuts, threads, bends, reams, and installs pipe and pipe fittings

  • Uses plumbers tools such as snakes, wrenches, plungers, pipe threaders, etc. 

  • Maintains knowledge of local codes.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years additional plumbing related experience

  • Ability to understand various piping systems (air, nitrogen, water, sewer and gas systems)

  • Ability to understand and use various basic power tools (reciprocating saws, grinders, etc.)

  • Ability to inspect, identify and provide solutions to repair systems

  • Experience using basic plumbing tools (such as basin wrench, pipe wrench, puller, drain auger, tongue-and-groove pliers, etc)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance if/when applicable

  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours (2:30PM-11:00PM PST)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

  • Journeyman Certificate in plumbing

  • Relevant training in Fire Protection

  • Large/Multi-Site Facilities plumbing experience

  • Certified in backflow


Salary Range: $64,900 USD - $108,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
