Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager 2 to: Supervise organization and outside contractors who maintain, repair and construct infrastructure systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, janitorial, and/or general maintenance. Set priorities and perform forecasting and allocation of resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Interface with customers, vendors, Manufacturing, Test, and Engineering organizations to ensure continued facilities and infrastructure operation. Perform continued oversight and maintenance of buildings, grounds and infrastructure equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple represented (Union) trades - Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics, Utility, Janitorial
  • Manage Facilities Planning team.
  • Attract, retain and develop talent and execute a cohesive strategy to create an inclusive culture and build an engaged workforce.
  • Oversee the execution of preventative/predictive maintenance programs with a focus on reaching companywide sustainability goals.
  • Use of existing CMMS system
  • Ensure PM tasks are completed on time, documented, and meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate with staff on projects and tasks, inspect work, provide constructive feed-back.
  • Proactively seek out improvements for the buildings and campus
  • Review practices, procedures and processes seeking to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate with internal customers, site leadership, other functional teams: EH&S, IT.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management and/or Planning, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or other related field with (9) years of related management experience. An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a large-scale industrial manufacturing facility
  • Experience managing represented hourly labor trades
  • Experience using Maintenance Connection CMMS software
  • Experience using SAP software
  • Experience as a tradesperson (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc)
  • Knowledge of building and various trade codes
  • Knowledge of building operations and systems


Salary Range: $111,000 USD - $166,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
