Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Maintenance Technician 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on site in Moss Point, Mississippi.

Description:

Provide broad range of facilities site support activities for the Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector, as single on-site Facilities person for Moss Point, MS location.  Position requires a combination of hands-on trade skills and administrative/communication oversight skills.

Duties and Responsibilities include – Hands-on/Trade:

  • Perform minor preventive maintenance on building infrastructure equipment and systems
  • Test, inspect, and troubleshoot facilities related systems
  • Walk site daily to ensure that building and grounds are in good working order and comply with safety and Facilities standards. Perform adjustments as needed
  • Ensure that grounds are maintained (e.g., landscaping, parking areas, etc.)
  • Perform minor installations and/or carpentry-related tasks such as furniture installation, minor equipment intallations, etc..
  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary in order to prevent breakdowns of facilities and facilities equipment and systems
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and/or modifications to facility and equipment such as painting, door repairs, minor plumbing or electrical repairs, etc.
  • Perform safety related (slip/trip/fall) clean-up, correction, or blocking of area, if necessary, during day/non-janitorial hours
  • Implement room set-ups (furniture and room configuration) as requested via work service requests or other forms of communication
  • Perform personnel box moves

Duties and Responsibilities include - Administrative:

  • Primary POC for Site leadership
    • Attends meetings and supports site Director to ensure that Facilities related subjects are addressed and, if needed, relays information to other appropriate Facilities personnel
  • Primary POC for site Employees for Facilities concerns
    • Act as Facilities point of contact for all maintenance service calls, resolve tickets and manage/respond via ticketing system database
  • Manage vendors/contractors for site maintenance and repairs
  • Perform Project management for smaller projects including bidding vendors, creating schedules, tracking projects costs etc.
  • Provide onsite management coordination (with remote Project Manager) for larger projects
  • Oversee janitorial, maintenance, and landscaping personnel at site
  • Coordinate communication, execution of work, and site visits for facilities related contractor representatives in support of facilities related projects and repairs
  • Create ibuy POs/Purchase Requisition shopping carts, and manage/coordinate Facilities Purchase Orders (POs)
    • Conduct job-walks when bidding out PO contracts for maintenance and construction projects.
  • Work with landlord to ensure that building responsibilities are addressed
  • Coordinate special/extra facilities assignments for vendors (includes management communication when possible)
  • Manage and input equipment data in to the Maximo database system, track and understand maintenance metrics, and participate on related teams. Provide reports as needed or upon request (typically will be monthly) to Facilities POCs
  • Provide facilities support, and necessary status and feedback to Remote Site Facilities management and site leadership

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 years related experience in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical/equipment, or electrical
  • Experience with using basic hand and power tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficient in utilizing databases
  • Able to read floorplans, drawings and diagrams
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • Able to work on site in Moss Point, Mississippi (No Relocation Offered)

Preferred Qualifications:

The qualifications listed below are desirable additional capabilities.

  • Able to utilize AutoCAD or software for creation of plans and/or diagrams
  • Experience with Maximo or maintenance database software
  • Experience with Building Management Systems

Salary Range: $48,800 USD - $81,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
