Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently looking for a Manager, Facilities Maintenance 2 to work in our Promontory, Utah location.

Description & responsibilities:

The F&M Manager works under the direction of the Mechanical Maintenance Department Senior Manager and is responsible for the day- to-day supervision of the craft team supervisors, and the craftsmen.

  • They are a key member of the Facility, Maintenance & Tooling leadership team and has administrative responsibilities which include, scheduling, performance reviews, counseling, and interface with the customers, engineering, and leadership. In addition, they are expected to spend time at the job sites supporting the crews, promoting safety, quality, cost and productivity.

  • This manager interfaces with engineering to ensure that the work is being performed per approved planning and that all facilities, tooling, machines and materials are appropriate for use, and in proper condition to accomplish work safely, and with the expected quality.

  • They are responsible to ensure that timecards are current, approved and input in a timely manner, supports daily safety craft team’s startup meetings and monitors critical jobs.

Competencies for Success:

This position requires the knowledge and experience to understand preventative maintenance, repairs, and new construction of plant equipment. Preference may be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in mechanical disciplines such as, boiler operations, welding, pipefitting, carpentry, auto mechanics, and pump and hydraulic experience. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 9 years of related Mechanical Maintenance experience

  • 2 years of leading crafts teams

  • Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience, and demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor other employees. 

  • Experience with meeting scheduled maintenance and agility to perform and motivate teams under pressure.

  • Excellent work ethic and ambition

  • Positive attitude

  • Excellent communication skills


Salary Range: $95,900 USD - $143,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
