Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Facilities Manager 2 (Plant Services Manager). This position will be located in Promontory, Utah.

In this role, you will: 

  • Directly manage a team of managers/ supervisors with employees performing work with contractor management, warehouse operations, material planners, spare parts management, CMMS functions, office services, janitors and plant services.

  • Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facilities infrastructure and equipment maintenance. 

  • Supervises managers, employees and/or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and infrastructure and equipment.

  • Provides status on maintenance metrics performance to senior leadership.

  • Represents Plant Services organization in site and program functional coordination meetings.

  • Responsible for all actions assigned to the organizational unit.

  • Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

  • Acts as an advisor to staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical and operational problems.

  • Utilizes organizations Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS/ MAXIMO) to schedule, track and report on infrastructure maintenance, service requests/work orders and trouble calls.

  • Perform functional responsibilities related to day-to-day management including performance management, career development, and engagement strategy execution

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ experience or master’s degree with 5 years’ experience working in facility operations or other business-related field

  • Experience in facilities and equipment maintenance

  • Experience establishing and tracking performance metrics

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel

  • Experience managing teams and achieving organization objectives, goals, metrics, targets

  • Ability to receive, interpret, and relay information, both written and verbally, in a concise and effective manner across various levels of stakeholders.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with aerospace office, lab, warehouse, manufacturing/production equipment and facilities infrastructure

  • Experienced using Maximo and/or other maintenance management system to schedule and track facilities maintenance

  • 4 years direct leadership experience leading teams towards organizational goals


Salary Range: $95,900 USD - $143,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
