Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Millwright 3/4 to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility location at Promontory, Utah.

This Maintenance Crafts position performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on plant facilities, and equipment. While this position will have an emphasis on the millwright trade, the candidate will be expected to perform other mechanical skills to maintain and repair industrial plant processing equipment. Candidates with experience in the following mechanical disciplines are preferred: ironworking, pipefitting, crane repair, machine shop maintenance, etc.
Shift work and overtime is required and the successful candidate must pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
Primary Duties:
Demonstrate safe work habits and knowledge of safety rules while performing job functions
Follow through on verbal and written work orders as directed by supervision
Ability to safely use hand and power tools, use personal protective equipment, and maintain job site safety
Perform a variety of related millwright duties at various job sites as required. For example:
Troubleshooting and repair of plant and process related equipment
Preforming preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
Installation and repair of pumps: centrifugal, diaphragm, vacuum, high pressure
Installation and repairs of overhead cranes
Installation and repairs of hydraulic systems
This position can be filled at either a level 3 or 4.
Basic Qualifications for a level 03:
High School Diploma or GED.
4+ years of related work experience
Successful candidate must be able to obtain a clearance for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA)
Basic Qualifications for a level 04:
High School Diploma or GED.
6+ years of related work experience
Successful candidate must be able to obtain a clearance for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA)
U.S. citizen
Preferred Skills/Knowledge
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with overhead cranes, overhead doors, process equipment maintenance
