Marine Systems is the U.S. Navy's trusted partner providing quiet propulsion and power generation machinery and submarine missile launch systems. We have over 65 years of experience and unique manufacturing capabilities critical to the U.S. submarine and aircraft carrier shipbuilding Industrial Base.

Marine Systems has an opening for a Property/Asset Management Analyst 1 or 2, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Sunnyvale, California.

The Property/Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for ensuring property control activities, and accountability of government property are in compliance with company policy, FAR and DFARS property regulations.

This position will be responsible for documenting, inventorying and facilitating movement transactions to ensure contractual and continual accountability of government, customer, and company assets.

This position will also be responsible for external interface with DCMA and other Government customer points of contact, as well as vendors and subcontractors with respect to Government Property matters.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure asset management compliance with applicable government requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR 52.245-1 and DFARS 245.6, 252.245-7003 and other applicable FAR, DFARS, DoD regulation) and company policies and procedures throughout the asset/property lifecycle

  • Interface with Business Management to obtain necessary information to create property records in SAP

  • Receiving and tagging of capital assets and inputting information into property management system for asset tracking

  • Perform inventories, reconciliation, utilization reviews, run reports, assist with property audits, and assist with identification, segregation and disposal of excess property

  • Complete asset retirement/disposition documentation when property is no longer in use/needed

  • Maintain property management metrics relative to job duties

  • Visits vendor sites periodically to inventory and audit Government Assets.

  • Acts as the focal interface with other functional areas, government agencies, customers, and company management on topics that relate to Asset Management.

  • Maintenance of facility records retention processes, systems and physical storage

  • Use of an electric scissor lift

This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 1:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 1+ years of related professional experience. May consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Strong PC skills especially with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as needed

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 3+ years of related professional experience – OR – a Master’s degree with 1 year of related professional experience. May consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Strong PC skills especially with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Professional Property Manager (CPPM)

  • Knowledge or understanding of MMAS, ISO/AS9100, and SOX standards that impacts asset management

  • Familiarity with SAP and GOLDesp


Salary Range: $51,200 USD - $76,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
