What you will get to do:

Northrop Grumman is seeking Facility Manager 1 to join our team of qualified and diverse leaders in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  The Facilities Manager will report to the Space Surveillance and Environmental Intelligence (SSEI) Operations Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all Facilities and Real Estate Operations at the COCO-01 location. The Campus consists of a single, three floor building, including office, integration and test, and future operations.

The facility manager will:

  • Support day-to-day facilities efforts to ensure a safe, well-maintained, clean work environment for all employees

  • Report to the SSEI Operating Unit Director and Operations Manager

  • Coordinates with Facility Project Managers to Plan, design and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance of the COCO-01 facility

  • Supervises a small facilities and maintenance team of experts and coordinates operations with the resident Northrop Grumman programs and SSEI OU leadership.

  • Support environmental, safety, and other facility plans, process, and audits

  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.

  • Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six (6) years experience or a Masters degree with a minimum three (3) years of related experience in facilities management, operations management, planning, or related discipline. (An additional four (4) years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement).

  • Current/active Secret clearance.

  • Proven experience interacting will all levels of the organization and external representatives, to include executive management

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Experience effectively  working with all levels and types of employees to ensure tasking is completed on time and within budget.

  • Ability to effectively manage a team of professionals and technicians, including both employees and vendors


Salary Range: $84,200 USD - $126,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
