The Aircraft Mechanic (2 or 3) troubleshoots, repairs, services, performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections and maintains all related systems on jet aircraft in our corporate aviation department at our Dulles, VA facility.

This position conducts diagnosis of malfunctions, performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly and adjustment of various aircraft systems and their components in accordance with manufacturing technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. This position will maintain FAA required records, manuals, spare parts/materials, and inspection forms.

This position may require in-the-field / on-the-road troubleshooting and minor to moderate repair of assigned aircraft as necessary to support the corporate flight department operation. This position may require accompanying department aircraft on scheduled/unscheduled maintenance performed at aircraft service centers.

In addition, this position will launch and recover aircraft, perform Ground Handling duties, perform post-flight and preflight inspections. This position is for 1st Shift and may work overtime, alternate scheduling and weekends as needed to support the operation.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2

  • High School Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of turbine-powered aircraft.

  • Outstanding communication skills, the ability to function within a team-oriented environment and the ability to work flexible hours is a must.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal airport security badge w/background check and possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.

  • Current, FAA-issued Airframe and Powerplant certificates are required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Computerized Maintenance Tracking programs (CAMP, CESCOM, CMP, etc.)

  • Possess basic hand tools in a lockable rolling tool box / cabinet.

  • Be able to pass a random DOT drug screening.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3

  • High School Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of turbine-powered aircraft.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal airport security badge w/background check and possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.

  • Current, FAA-issued Airframe and Powerplant certificates are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Gulfstream V/550 maintenance experience and formalized training preferred.

  • Prior Citation 680 series maintenance experience and formalized training preferred.

  • Proficient in Aircraft Ground Handling, Towing, and Servicing preferred.

  • Prior credible FAA Part 135 and Part 145 experience preferred.


Salary Range: $51,800 USD - $86,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $61,700 USD - $102,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
