Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so. We want you to join our diverse team as a Deployable Aircraft Mechanic (level 4) located at Edwards AFB CA.
You will be responsible for performing minor structural repairs and modifications. Troubleshoot, repair and service aircraft and engine systems. Conduct diagnosis of malfunctions. Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. You will fabricate, install and test installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses. You will need the ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
You may receive additional training and be cross utilized into aircraft low observable maintenance to fulfill the daily activities and duties required to meet contract requirements. Low Observable tasks include repair of composite or metallic structures, and sanding, stripping, testing, masking and other preparation tasks. Assigned work locations are Palmdale and Edwards AFB, CA.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years additional education and/or related experience as an aircraft mechanic.
- Willing/able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- Have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
- Accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
- Meet medical requirements for worldwide travel which include a physical.
- A complete understanding of Aviation and Aerospace technical data.
- Current DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Top Secret clearance.
- Operational experience.
