Northrop Grumman is seeking a 5th Gen Fighter or Bomber Pilot/SME at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), 31CTS, Nellis AFB, NV. The JITTC-N is evolving into the world’s premier high-end Virtual Air Dominance Battlespace for future Large Force Integration events, and Northrop Grumman’s team is working to make that future a reality at Nellis AFB.
The Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) is also right around the corner at Nellis AFB. The 31CTS and NGC is taking a leading role in accelerating future JSE capabilities now, to ensure Nellis’ Airmen are ready, and America’s Air Force is prepared for any high-end fight.
The candidate will assist in the creation of integrated 5th Gen virtual operations to ensure the best possible training environment for the USAFWC, USAFWS, 422 TES, and/or visiting units. NGC’s Virtual Battlespace Environment includes operational and test software to include Combat Environment Server (CES), Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT), just to name a few. With Northrop Grumman fulfilling the role of Lead Systems Integrators (LSI), the candidate will fill a critical role to ensure seamless battlespace integration with current Fighter/Bomber assets on the 31CTS campus (F-22/F-35/F-15E/F-16/E-3/RJ/CRC), and future advanced capabilities on the near horizon.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develops training curriculum, study outlines, and orientation materials to be employed during procedures, simulation, and/or flight training.
- Conducts instructional sessions, briefings, follow-ups, and proficiency checks on flight simulators in accordance with federal air regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Evaluates trainee progress and recommends qualification or additional training. Reviews simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency.
- Coordinates utilization schedules for training flight crews and necessary engineering support. Background in piloting.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years Fighter or bomber experience
- Thorough knowledge of AFTTP 3-1 fighter/bomber employment
- Operationally relevant experience within the past 5 years (simulator experience considered)
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain to TS/SCI and SAP/SAR
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mission Commander and/or Instructor Pilot/WSO/CSO/NFO experience
- Weapons Officer and/or Test Pilot School graduate
- Experience using CES or NGTS
