The team in Goleta, CA is looking for a professional Manufacturing & Test Technician to support radio frequency and electronic testing with duties as assigned in support of plant wide operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform manufacturing operations associated with RF circuit testing, tuning, and assembly.
  • Assemble and test mechanical and electromechanical antennas for aircraft and spacecraft
  • Utilizes common hand tools and occasional soldering to assemble hardware.
  • Utilizes measurement tools such as calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators during hardware fabrication.
  • Transmission and reflection arch measurements using a VNA (vector network analyzer)
  • Process measurements in support of low-rate manufacturing operations·
  • Utilize Antenna pattern and gain measurements within the Anechoic Chamber and RF network VSWR measurements
  • Report data and interface with other employees and departments
  • Read and understand manufacturing drawings/schematics and shop planning
  • Assist in maintaining overall shop appearance and cleanliness.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience
  • US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance·
  • Ability to read, write and work to instructions written in English.
  • Ability read and follow directions on engineering drawings
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to be on feet for up to various hours each day
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts based on demanding manufacturing schedules

Preferred Qualifications:

  • J-STD-001 Soldering Certificate
  • Demonstrated Mechanical Ability
  • Proficient use of basic shop arithmetic
  • Experience with Matlab
  • Microsoft Officeskills (Word and Excel)
  • Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivationfor excellence
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work individually and in a team environment.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with a focus on customer service excellence. Travel for this position is minimal, less than 10%.

Salary Range: $51,800 USD - $69,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
