Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Level 2) to support on-site at our Rocket Center, West Virginia location.
Rocket Center, WV is located along the North Branch Potomac River in Mineral County, West Virginia and is home to the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), a government installation operated by Northrop Grumman. Known for its scenic mountain landscapes, rolling hills and state parks, the region offers a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities to include hiking, mountain biking, skiing, fishing, hunting and whitewater rafting. Job Duties:
Identify raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules
Generate purchase requisitions to support future build needs
Track material quality and initiate actions to extend or eliminate expiring material
Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production areas
Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate quantities of materials are always on hand
Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process
Able to plan and prioritize material resources to ensure Operations needs are met
Able to resolve complex issues in a creative, analytical manner
Has strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Can help identify risks and determine mitigation strategies and has a mindset of continual improvement
Basic Qualifications for Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Level 2):
This role places a strong emphasis on skills and experience. Candidates will be evaluated based on one of the following qualifications: a high school diploma or GED accompanied by at least 4 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment or a related sector; a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting or a similar field; or a master's degree with no required experience, also ideally in a manufacturing facility or a related area.
MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, production control and manufacture of products
Experience with raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules
Experience with purchase requisitions
